After the
rehearsal, I went back to my hotel room for a good night’s sleep while Mr. Cool drove to his parents’ house in the South Bay. I was just getting ready to call it a night when I heard a loud ruckus erupt in the hallway near the door to my suite.
Turns out, it was my brother and my cousin/
MOH’s boyfriend, both of whom may or may not have had a little too much wine at our rehearsal dinner. I let them in and they proceeded to raid some of the snacks my mom had bought for the girls to munch on the next day. I let the boys hang for about 45 minutes before I kicked them out. I finally got to sleep around midnight, and slept surprisingly well considering: 1) I was coming down with a head cold; and 2) I was getting married the next day!
The next morning started bright and early with hair and makeup for the ladies. My cousin/
MOH had the first makeup appointment in the suite at 8:30 a.m. Our makeup artist,
Vy from
Exquisite Faces, was right on time. After setting up shop at the desk in the living room, she got to work on my cousin’s makeup:

Next, it was my turn to get beautified. Bridesmaid Mrs. O snapped some photos along the way:

After my makeup was done, I took my
Valentinos for a quick spin around the hotel room:

Finally, it was my mom’s turn to jump in the makeup chair. I was so excited that she decided to wear false eyelashes for the first time ever on my wedding day:

Meanwhile, several of my bridesmaids were at the salon having their hair done by our awesome
friendor, Jackie of
Flair by Jackie. I had the last hair appointment of the morning at 11:00 a.m. I drove to the salon in time to visit my cousin/
MOH, who had requested a Jessica Alba inspired
updo. Her hair was in the beginning stages when I arrived:

Bridesmaid Mrs. S was just finishing up when I jumped in her face with the camera:

Then, it was my turn! The hair appointment flew by, and I was excited that Jackie was able to seamlessly blend my hairpiece in with my real hair. Wanna see? Check out my first pro photo to be revealed on my blog*. We're jumping ahead a bit, but I can't resist showing this photo of the back of my hair. I loved how it turned out, and I love my feather/flower
fascinator from
etsy seller
veillady:

And because I promised more than one pro photo in this post, here are a few of the scene in the hotel room as my lovely ladies and I prepared for the day ahead:
My face says, "wow, this is really happening!"

Our leftover rehearsal dinner arrangements livened up the suite
Bridesmaid Mrs. S. - she's a little over a month and a half pregnant in this photo :)She told me about it after we got back from our honeymoon, though I had my suspicions - sneaky girl!Up next, the boys get ready and Mr. Cool and I exchange gifts!
Were you able to get ready with your bridesmaids before the wedding festivities began?

Wow! I love the way your hair came out! Both your hair and makeup look so beautiful. I loved getting ready with the girls, though some of them also went to a salon, while I got both hair and makeup done at the house. We all got to be together getting dressed and taking pix, though.
