The Party of Our Lives: Pre-Wedding Gifts

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that I love giving and receiving gifts. Naturally, I was excited to participate in a pre-wedding gift exchange with my groom-to-be. Looking at the professional photos we received documenting the gift exchange, I think it was a great idea! But enough rambling . . . I'll let you be the judge!

I frantically wrapped Mr. Cool's gift just days before our wedding using leftover wrapping paper scraps, twine and shipping tags we had laying around our apartment. I attached a note to his circuit-board cufflinks instructing him to open this gift before he got dressed:

But first, he read the card I had written out for him. I love his expression in this photograph:

After that, he tore into his gift:

Judging by the smile on his face, he liked what he saw. I swear I married this man for his 1,000 kilowatt smile, which never fails to pull me out of even the gnarliest of moods:

After Mr. Cool got dressed, our awesome photog snapped a closeup of his cufflinks in action:

Meanwhile, I had a card and gift waiting for me in my suite as well. I took a moment alone by the window to read some of the most beautiful words that Mr. Cool has ever written to me:

After, I wasted no time tearing into my gift:

I gasped at the dainty, glinting white gold and aquamarine ring that was waiting inside for me. I promptly put that beauty on my right hand and modeled it for all to see:

After, I abandoned the wrapping paper in a pile near the windowsill and got ready to head to our venue, where I would finally put on my gown and become a bride!
